Getting Started
How long does a website really take?
Most small business sites launch in 7–14 days. The 5-day ones are straightforward 3-page sites; the 14-day ones have more pages or complex features. We'll give you an exact timeline on our kickoff call.
What do I need to provide?
Your logo (or we'll design one as an add-on), photos of your business or team, basic info like hours and services, and any copy you already have. We handle everything else — and if you don't have photos or copy, we have add-ons for both.
Do you work with businesses outside of the Bay Area?
Yes — we work with small businesses across the US and are 100% remote-friendly. Our kickoff call is over Zoom. We've launched sites for clients in New York, Austin, Miami, and everywhere in between.
Design & Build
Can I see a draft before paying?
We ask for a 50% deposit to begin work (which goes toward your total), and you'll see a full working preview before we launch. You won't be paying for something you haven't seen.
What if I don't like the design?
Every project includes one full round of revisions. In practice, we get it right the first time about 80% of the time — our kickoff process is thorough enough that we know what you want before we start building.
How many revisions are included?
One full round is included in the base price. Additional revision rounds are $75 each. We've found that being upfront about this keeps the process fast and focused for everyone.
Can I bring my own designer or brand guidelines?
Absolutely. If you have an existing brand guide, design assets, or want to work with your own designer, we're happy to build from those. Just let us know in the brief.
Content
I don't have any photos. What now?
We have a photo sourcing add-on where we license professional stock photography that fits your business and industry. We can also work with smartphone photos — often they're more authentic than stock anyway.
I'm not a writer — can you help with content?
Yes. Our copywriting add-on covers the full site. Our AI-drafted content add-on is a cheaper option where AI writes a first draft and we edit it for quality. Both result in real, compelling copy — not filler.
Can the AI really write the whole site?
With the right inputs, yes — and it's usually pretty good. We always have a human review pass before anything goes live. AI is a tool we use to move faster, not a replacement for quality control.
After Launch
How do I edit my site after launch?
We give you access to a clean content editor — think of it like a much simpler version of WordPress or Notion. You can change any text, swap any photo, add blog posts, and update prices without touching code. We walk you through it in a 30-minute handoff session.
What if I accidentally break something?
The editor is designed to make breaking things nearly impossible. But if it happens, email us. We'll fix it, usually within a few hours. Care Plan subscribers get guaranteed same-day response.
Can I add a blog, forms, or new pages after launch?
Yes. That's one of the core advantages of building on our platform — you can add features without rebuilding from scratch. Blog, booking form, second location, extra pages — all can be added post-launch at straightforward rates.
Do you do SEO after launch?
The basics are built in from day one: meta tags, sitemap, schema markup, page speed, and proper heading structure. Ongoing SEO work — content strategy, link building, monthly audits — is included in our Growth Plan at $39/mo.
Pricing & Contracts
Is the quote final?
It's our best estimate based on your selections. If we discover something in your brief that changes scope, we'll discuss it with you before doing extra work. No surprises.
Are there contracts or lock-ins?
No contracts. Monthly hosting is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. The one-time launch fee is for the build work, which is complete once we launch.
What happens if I want to leave?
We export your content and hand it over. Your domain is in your name. You own everything — we never hold clients' sites or content hostage.
Do I own my site and content?
Completely. Your domain is registered in your name, your content is yours, and we provide a full export on request. SleekSky has no claim over any of it.
Technical
Where is my site hosted?
On our managed platform, served via a global CDN. Your site loads fast everywhere in the world, with 99.9% uptime and automatic backups.
Is it fast and secure?
Yes. Our sites consistently score 90+ on Google PageSpeed. Every site has SSL (HTTPS), automatic security updates, and is isolated from other sites on the platform.
Will it work on mobile phones?
Mobile-first is non-negotiable for us. We design and test for mobile before desktop. Your site will look great and work perfectly on every device and screen size.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — and we help you set it up. If you already own a domain, we connect it. If you need one, we'll guide you through purchasing it (domains are typically $10–15/year from any major registrar).
